. Former leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rabindra Mishra has urged Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Sita Badi to submit a proposal to the Prime Minister to convert the Minister’s residence in Bhaisepati into a children’s shelter. <\/p>\n
Through social media on Monday, he said that the minister’s residence constructed at a cost of around Rs 3 billion in Bhaisepati and currently being reconstructed at a cost of Rs 400 million should be developed as a model children’s home in South Asia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I have been making a special request to convert the minister’s residence constructed at Bhaisepati at a cost of Rs 3 billion and currently being constructed at a cost of around Rs 400 million into an exemplary children’s home in South Asia,” he said. <\/p>\n
According to Mishra, it is not a common practice in the well-governed countries of the world to arrange such a lavish government residence for ministers.<\/p>\n
For this reason, he said that this building is called ‘Papi’s House’. He said that providing accommodation to the ministers in modern apartment buildings would be appropriate both from the security and government point of view.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘I do not know of any well-governed and cultured country in the world that has built such a magnificent palace for the ministers, and the ministers are sitting in those palaces without any fault. That is why I have called the minister’s residence in Bhaisepati as ‘Papi Niwas’,” he said. It will be easy from both security and cost point of view.
