Sirha. The last rites of 15-year-old Ganesh Yadav of Tulsiyahi in Aurahi rural municipality-2 of Siraha district are to be performed today. <\/p>\n
The government and the family of Yadav, who was shot dead during the agitation in Golbazaar over the Sunsari incident, have reached an eight-point agreement. As per the agreement, the government has committed to initiate the process to declare Ganesh Yadav a martyr, provide financial assistance of Rs 100,000 to the family of Ganesh Yadav and take action against the guilty after conducting an impartial investigation into the incident. Likewise, the meeting also agreed to provide employment opportunities to an eligible member of the family of the deceased, construct a memorial park in the name of Ganesh Yadav, provide free education to the sister of the deceased and provide free medical treatment to the parents at the government hospital. Home Minister Sudan Gurung said the body was taken to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for postmortem and the last rites would be performed today. Earlier, the family had taken a stand that they would not accept the body until their demands were met.<\/p>\n
