According to the Alpine Club of Pakistan, rescue teams have also found three more bodies at the same site, but their identities are yet to be confirmed. Mingma David Sherpa, a senior Nepali mountaineer who reached Skardu of Pakistan-administered Gilgit-Baltistan from Kathmandu, said through social media that the rescue operation was being carried out in a very difficult situation and the safety of the entire team was given top priority.<\/p>\n
He wrote, “According to the information received from the field team, there is a plan to bring the body from the existing location to Camp-1. After that, he will be brought to the Japanese campus tomorrow. If the weather and mountain conditions are favorable, there is a possibility of using helicopters from the Japanese camp. The main objective of this campaign is to rescue the bodies of the deceased friends safely and respectfully return them to their families. The safety of the entire team involved in the rescue operation is our top priority. Every decision has been made with the safety of the team at the center. “<\/p>\n
In the first phase of the rescue operation, the rescuers will carry the dead bodies to Camp 1 through extremely steep and technically difficult terrain from the upper part. <\/p>\n
At present, the option of direct rescue by helicopter from high altitude has been ruled out due to the dangerous terrain and the possibility of more avalanches.<\/p>\n
According to the rescue team, the bodies will be taken to the Japanese camp by Monday if the weather permits. <\/p>\n

the weather remains stable and avalanches do not occur again, helicopters of the Pakistan Army’s aviation branch will remain on standby at the Japanese camp. The helicopters will be used to bring the bodies of the deceased climbers and the rescue team safely down to the valley. <\/p>\n
The Nimsdai Foundation confirmed the tragic death of Nirmal Purja ‘Nims Dai’, a famous mountaineer of Nepali origin, in an avalanche at Broad Peak.<\/p>\n
The foundation confirmed in its official Facebook statement that other campaign members who were caught in the same avalanche had also died. <\/p>\n
“It is with great sadness and deep sadness that we confirm that Nirmal ‘Nimsdai’ Purja has tragically passed away due to an avalanche at Broad Peak,” the statement said.<\/p>\n
In addition, other members of the expedition did not survive. According to official accounts and Dawn newspaper, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon at an altitude of around 6,600 metres.<\/p>\n
The 10-member team that was climbing the 8,047-meter high Broad Peak lost contact on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

The Ministry has appreciated the bravery efforts of Pakistani and Nepali mountaineering teams, who were involved in the arduous search operation in high mountainous terrain.<\/p>\n
The bodies of Pur Bahadur Gurung and Gyelu Sherpa who died in the accident have been recovered, the Ministry of Home Affairs said search for the remaining climbers was continuing. <\/p>\n
