Responding to a motion of urgent public importance on the problem of landless squatters registered by the parliamentary party leader of the main opposition Nepali Congress, Bhishma Raj Angdembe, in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Minister Rawal said various processes have been initiated for the management of landless landless squatters since the formation of the government. She said, “The government of Nepal is serious about the issue of landless squatters.<\/p>\n
Continuous work has been carried out for the management of squatters and unsystematic settlers since the formation of the government. According to him, the data of 388 families was collected through the holding center in the case of Kathmandu. Of them, the application forms of 58 families have been sent to the concerned local levels, the applications of 51 families have been rejected and the applications of another 51 families have already been registered at the Commission. <\/p>\n
She said, “The data of 388 families was collected in Kathmandu. The process has been affected as most of the local levels have not published the notice despite sending the notice to the concerned local levels. If the opposition parties are also worried, send a copy of the proposal to the concerned municipality, so that they too can feel the depth of the problem. Minister Rawal complained that although the government has already sent the necessary information to the concerned districts and local levels, most of the local levels have not made public the information from the ward level.
