KATHMANDU: Nabil Bank, the leading commercial bank of Nepal, has reported a significant improvement in its profit, operating income and dividend capacity for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2082\u00f783. <\/p>\n<p> According to the report, the bank&#8217;s net profit increased by 33.50 percent to Rs 7.<\/p>\n<p>90 billion in the review period. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 5.92 billion in the same quarter last year. <\/p>\n<p> The increase in net interest income and the decrease in loan impairment charges have been the main reasons for the bank&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>s profit growth. The net interest income increased to Rs 17.92 billion from Rs 16.32 billion in the previous FY. <\/p>\n<p> Similarly, the bank&#8217;s impairment charge has been reduced from Rs 4.20 billion to Rs 2.67 billion.<\/p>\n<p>This increased the operating profit of the bank by 25.22 percent to Rs 11.56 billion. In the previous fiscal year, the operating profit was Rs. 9.23 billion. <\/p>\n<p> With the improvement in financial indicators, the bank&#8217;s dividend distribution capacity has also increased.<\/p>\n<p>After the regulatory adjustment, the total distributable profit of the bank has reached Rs 5.16 billion. On this basis, the bank&#8217;s distributable profit per share has reached Rs 19.10. <\/p>\n<p> During the review period, both deposits and loans of banks increased by double digits.<\/p>\n<p>Customer deposits increased by 12.95 per cent to Rs 592.55 billion while credit flow increased by 12 per cent to Rs 460.31 billion. The total assets of the bank increased by 15.38 percent to Rs 734.73 billion. <\/p>\n<p> The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 32.05 billion and a total equity of Rs <\/p>\n<p>71.90 billion. The bank has also shown improvement in the quality of assets. The bad loan ratio (NPL) has come down to 4.20 per cent from 4.48 per cent and the net NPL has been limited to 0.58 per cent.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> The bank&#8217;s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 28.36, net worth per share of Rs 247.28, total asset value per share of Rs 2,715.50 and liquidity ratio of 28.87 per cent.<\/p>\n<p> The financial statements of the bank have indicated that it has further strengthened its ability to distribute attractive dividends from the upcoming AGM as profit, distributable profit and asset quality have improved. <\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>.
