Congress dissatisfaction with the working style of the government, serious questions on good governance and civil security<\/strong><\/p>\n Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has expressed serious dissatisfaction over the government’s working style, decision-making process, good governance and state of civil security. <\/p>\n Speaking at a press meet organized at the party central office in Sanepa on Wednesday, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise clarified that the NC wanted the government to be strong, stable, transparent and accountable.<\/p>\n “It is our weakness to want the government to be strong and stable on the basis of transparency and accountability,” he said, adding, “We do not want to comment on the internal affairs of any party or government, but we cannot remain silent when the government’s activities have raised questions on the entire democratic system, constitutional core and civil rights.” He said although the Nepali Congress does not want to comment on the internal affairs of any party or government, it cannot remain silent when the democratic system, constitutional values and civil rights are being questioned due to the government’s activities.<\/p>\n Spokesperson Chalise said the NC was playing the role of a responsible opposition, saying it was necessary to correct the shortcomings seen in the government’s working style, decision-making process and good governance.<\/p>\n Citing the example of the Dewangunj-Kaptangunj incident in Sunsari, he accused the government of losing patience and accountability in that incident. “The recent incidents in different parts of the country have exposed the weakness of the government security system and policy ambiguity, making the security of the citizens more vulnerable,” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n “The government has lost patience and no accountability in the Dewangunj-Kaptangunj incident in Sunsari,” he said, “The weakness of the government security system and the ignorance of the security system and policy ignorance seen in different parts of the country have made the civil security more insecure.” Accusing the state of failing to be present effectively even in the Lahan incident of Sunsari , he accused the responsible people of the government of being limited to social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n Spokesperson Chalise said that the crisis seen in the country is not the common challenge of any one government or political party but of the entire nation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Congress dissatisfaction with the working style of the government, serious questions on good governance and civil security Kathmandu.
