Kathmandu. The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has said it has completed all technical preparations required for the implementation of the taxpayer incentive gift program. On Thursday, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle was informed about the method and system of selection of gifts and a model draw system was also presented on the occasion. <\/p>\n

According to Bhishma Kumar Bhusal, the first gift announcement will be made on Friday. <\/p>\n
Gift winners will be selected from those consumers who have purchased goods and services online from July 15 to July 15 and have purchased in cash and uploaded VAT or PAN bill on the website of the Inland Revenue Department. According to the department, 15 consumers will receive cash prize of Rs 100,<\/p>\n
000 each after tax deduction on the basis of each day’s transaction during the period. In addition, one person will be given a bumper cash prize of Rs. 1 million to one of the eligible consumers who purchase the goods and services from July 17 to July 15. According to the department, bumper gifts will be taxed as per the prevailing law. <\/p>\n
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle had announced through the budget for the fiscal year 2083\u00f784 that such a gift program would be implemented with the objective of encouraging the taxpayers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to the Taxpayer Incentive Program Operation Procedure, from now on, gifts will be announced regularly on the 16th of every month (for transactions from 1 to 15 days) and on the last day of the month (for transactions from the 16th to the last day of the month).<\/p>\n
Consumers who purchase goods and services through the QR of a bank or digital wallet will automatically participate in the program. However, the purchase bill must be kept safe in order to claim the gift. <\/p>\n
Consumers buying goods and services in cash will have to collect PAN or VAT bill and upload it on the website of the Inland Revenue Department.<\/p>\n
According to the department, they can participate in the gift program through the coupon received after uploading the bill. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
