Impact of landslides and floods on main highways, some roads complete and one-way operation in some <\/strong><\/p>\n
Kathmandu.As many as 13 major roads and highways have been completely obstructed due to incessant rains, floods and landslides. <\/p>\n According to the details released by the Nepal Police on Friday, some roads have been completely obstructed while one-way traffic has been allowed on some roads. Nepal Police has urged the general public to know the condition of the road before setting out on a journey till 10:00 am on Friday. According to the police, all types of vehicles have been banned from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am on the Kavrepalanchowk-Sindhuli highway due to the risk of flood.<\/p>\n Vehicles will be allowed to operate from 4 am to 6 pm. <\/p>\n Vehicular movement along the Kanti Highway in Makwanpur has also been halted from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am every day in view of the risk of monsoon. According to the police, the Mechi Highway at Rajduwali of Ilam, Zerokilo of Sindhupalchowk, Arniko Highway in Kodari and Liping areas, Lamasanghu-Ramechhap Road of Dolakha, Pasang Lhamu Road of Rasuwa, Nagma-Gamgadhi Road of Mugu, Kaligandaki Corridor of Baglung, Beni-Jomsom Road at Baiseri of Myagdi, Bheri Corridor of Rukum West, Beni-Jomsom Road at Kaiku Khola of Mustang, Madan Bhandari Highway of Gulmi, Karnali Highway of Kalikot, Ghorahi-Thawang Martyrs Highway of Rolpa and Nildorje Tourist Road of Solukhumbu <\/p>\n Landslides, mudslides and road erosion have completely disrupted various places (Salleri-Lukla). <\/p>\n Although alternative routes have been brought into operation in some sections, efforts are on to resume roads in most of the places, according to Nepal Police. Police have urged the passengers and drivers travelling to the hilly and mountainous districts during the rainy season only after knowing the latest condition of the road from the concerned authorities.
