. Labour and Culture Party lawmaker Dhruba Raj Rai urged all political parties to focus on people’s issues by ending the deadlock in the parliament for a long time. He said the continuous obstruction has wasted the time of the parliament and sent a wrong message to the people. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, MP Rai said that the people are looking at their representatives when the parliament is being obstructed and a way out should be found through political consensus as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
He said, “I am in favor of ending this matter as soon as possible.” The people have sent you and us as their representatives. They are watching us. In such a situation, how many years will we continue to discuss this issue? We have to find a solution to the problem. Recalling that his party had also presented a resolution proposal in the parliament, he said the political parties should focus on the solution rather than blaming each other.<\/p>\n
“If you want to love your country, you should not just sit by who says what but find a solution,” he said.<\/p>\n
People can make mistakes, but they have to admit their mistakes and find a solution. If we don’t find a solution, how long will we continue like this?” <\/p>\n
Pointing out the need to draw a conclusion soon through discussion between the party leaders, the Prime Minister and the Speaker, he urged the government to make the operation of the parliament effective.”If the House continues to be obstructed for two months, the party leaders, prime minister and speaker should sit down and come to a conclusion,” he said.<\/p>\n
The solution should be found in this parliament, not on the streets. “<\/p>\n
Lawmaker Rai said that the lawmakers were misusing time and resources due to the obstruction of the parliament and urged the lawmakers to spend their time for raising the problems of the people. <\/p>\n
“Even if an MP speaks for only four minutes, we have to calculate how much time we are wasting in every sitting,” he said.<\/p>\n
