. Nepali Congress (NC) outgoing President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to address the national gathering to be organized by the disgruntled faction of the party.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Coordinator of the National Gathering Organizing Committee, Dr. According to Koirala, Deuba will attend the gathering to be held in Kathmandu from August 29 to 14. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a press conference organized at the liaison office in Kathmandu on Friday, Koirala said that the national gathering has been organized with the objective of determining the party unity and future course of action in the present political situation. He said, “The national gathering of the Nepali Congress has been organized in Kathmandu from August 14 to 14, 2083 to chart out the future course of action with complete unity in the present political situation of the country.”<\/p>\n
Honorable President Sher Bahadur Deuba will also address the gathering. Welcoming the Supreme Court’s decision to review the case related to the legitimacy of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee, Koirala expressed the belief that justice would be done through this.<\/p>\n
“We welcome the Supreme Court’s decision on the review petition filed by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.<\/p>\n
We are confident that justice will be delivered through the review by the Supreme Court. Deuba is currently in Hong Kong with his wife Arzu Rana, who was seriously injured during the Janji agitation. Stating that he is scheduled to return home on August 11, Koirala expressed the belief that no arrest would be made by the state while returning home. <\/p>\n
He said, “I don’t think there will be such a arrest when he comes back.” But if that happens, we oppose it. At a press meet , he said party leader Purna Bahadur Khadka could not attend the gathering due to health reasons, adding that leader Shekhar Koirala also supports the national gathering. <\/p>\n
“Purna Bahadur Khadka’s health condition is not good, so he could not come today.<\/p>\n
Shekhar bhai is busy with house construction work in Biratnagar, so he could not be present. But he also has full support for this national gathering. \u2019<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
