KATHMANDU: The Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu has been thronged with thousands of devotees since early morning on the last Monday of the month of Shrawan. KATHMANDU: Women and other devotees of Lord Shiva have reached Pashupatinath temple today to conclude their fast.

Although one is not allowed to fast and worship on other Mondays of the month of Saun, there is a religious belief that fasting on the last Monday and worshiping Lord Shiva fulfills one’s wishes. On Monday, which is considered to be the favorite day of Lord Shiva, there is a tradition of fasting, worshiping, donating and performing various religious activities.

There was a long queue at the Pashupatinath temple premises since early morning as the number of devotees was high on the last Monday.

Devotees queued up for hours to offer prayers to Lord Pashupatinath.

Asmita Bishwakarma, who visited Pashupatinath, is associated with religious faith and family happiness and peace. She said that they have been fasting and worshiping on the Monday of Saun every year.

She complained that although the Pashupati area has good facilities and facilities, she could not get enough time to pay obeisance to the deity due to long queues.

Stating that the Nepali tradition and Hindu rituals have been continued for generations, she said that she worshipped the family wishing for peace and happiness.

She said, “This faith is towards religion, Bholenath or Shiva. Every year, I fast on the Monday of Saun and worship. The management of the temple is good. We went inside in a queue but could not see God. The line became longer, the darshan was much shorter. Anju Sah, who reached Pashupatinath with water from Sundarijal said that there is a religious belief that fasting on the Monday of the month of Saun cures diseases. She had reached Sundarijal the previous day. She stayed there at night and took bath in the morning and came to Pashupatinath with water, however, said that the management of the line is easy.

She said, “I believe that fasting cures diseases. That’s why we went to Sundarijal yesterday and came here today. We stayed there for the night. We have brought water from Sundarijal. The management of the temple seemed fine, we stood in the queue for only half an hour. I have asked God that the illness will be cured soon. I will come to visit again and wish the children well. ” I have prayed to Lord Shiva for curing my ailment, for my health and for the good life of my children,” she said.

For Vidyadhar Bhardwaj, who came from Ayodhya in India to visit Pashupatinath, this journey was even more special.

Saying he has come to Pashupatinath to please Lord Shiva, he said preparations were underway to embark on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in mid-August.

He said, “We have come to Baba’s city to please Lord Shiva. We are going to Kailash Mansarovar in the month of July. We are on a 13-day journey. Lord Bholenath is more happy on Monday. And I think Gauri ji is happy because it is also Mataji’s day. We have come to the feet of the Father for the welfare of the world or for the welfare of all. According to him , the 13-day Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage began with the worship of Pashupatinath. “Monday is a special day for Lord Shiva and it is good fortune for us to get a glimpse of Lord Shiva on this day,” he said. He prayed to Lord Shiva for the welfare of the whole world and all.

Meena Thapa, who was found at Pashupatinath, said that the tradition of fasting on the Monday of the month of Saun is linked to religious beliefs, beliefs and rituals. He said that they have also been continuing this fast since the tradition on the basis of the religious statement related to Parvati’s penance to Lord Shiva to get her husband.

‘Fasting of Shiva on the Monday of the month of Shravan means that Parvati also comes to Swasthani to get Shiva in the creation. So it’s a belief and a belief,” she said.

She said that the fast on Monday of the month of Saun and today’s inauguration have been taken as a continuation of the religious tradition.

She also said that there is a religious belief that an unmarried girl observes such a fast to get a suitable groom as per her wish.

Thapa said that she has taken the crowd at the Pashupatinath temple as a symbol of religious faith.

“I pray to God for goodwill, goodwill, goodwill and goodwill for the country and society,” she said.

She wished that Nepal would become good, the leaders of the country would have good sense and good thoughts and the new generation of leaders would take the country forward in the right direction.”We are all children of one mother,” she said, stressing on the need for love, harmony and unity among all Nepalis.

He was of the view that religion should be seen with self-purification, faith and good conduct rather than external display.

Shila Thapa, who reached Pashupatinath since early morning, said that she fasts on every Monday in the month of July.“As they are the children of Lord Shiva, they pray for the happiness and peace of their family members and all Nepalis,” she said.

Thapa said that she has been fasting with the wish that there should be peace and happiness in the family, that the Nepali people should not have to suffer and that there should be a good life for all. According to him, the fruits of the deeds done by believing in religious faith are definitely obtained.

He believes that religious deeds performed after enduring suffering give people both faith and patience.

For Uma Shrestha, the fast on Monday of the month of Saun is a personal belief that has reached close to four decades.

She said that she had been fasting on Mondays regularly since before marriage.

Shrestha, who reached Pashupatinath at 8:00 am for worship, said that the line management was easy this time.

Shrestha said that she has been fasting with the wish of happiness and peace of the family, health of her children and removal of diseases.

She said she had been praying and praying to God for a long time and has felt its positive impact in her life.

However, this time his biggest prayer is for the speedy recovery of his ailing daughter.

She has offered prayers at Pashupatinath temple wishing that her daughter gets well soon by the grace of God.

Bolbam pilgrims have also been seen at Pashupatinath on the last Monday of the month of Shrawan, along with the devotees and general devotees. The movement of Bolbam pilgrims has increased in various Shiva temples across the country.

Bolbam pilgrims who bring water from Sundarijal of Kathmandu offer it to Pashupatinath and offer prayers. The number of devotees has increased since early morning due to the religious tradition of reaching the Pashupatinath after taking bath in Sundarijal.

The crowd seen at Pashupatinath is not only a scene of religious rituals but also a continuation of the faith, tradition and belief that has been going on for generations.
