Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Shiva Shankar Yadav said the debate was limited to ‘black spectacles’ though the issues that should have been discussed in the parliament were elsewhere.\u00a0<\/p>\n Speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, he said that there should be a debate on the discriminatory attitude towards the Madhesi community for decades, the neglect towards Karnali and the Far-West and the treatment of Dalits, indigenous nationalities and marginalized communities as second-class citizens.<\/p>\n ‘It was one thing to criticize in the House, but the debate has turned to the other side. “There should have been a debate on the black eyes of the Madhesis and the neglect towards Karnali and the Far-Western for decades,” he said, adding, “But today the debate in the parliament is being limited to black glasses.” <\/p>\n He said that it was not ‘black glasses’ that needed to be removed, but a discriminatory mindset in his mind.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘BP Koirala also used to wear black glasses, but his thinking was not black. The outlook was not narrow. It’s not the goggles that need to be removed. “This is the black thinking in my mind,” he said. There is a dark mindset of looking at Dalits.
