CPN-UML lawmaker Chandreshwor Mandal has demanded an explanation from the government stating that farmers are facing shortage of chemical fertilizers. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, lawmaker Mandal said that farmers have not received chemical fertilizers even though the Agriculture Minister has claimed that there is enough fertilizer. <\/p>\n “There is a shortage of fertilizer for the farmers but our agriculture minister says there is enough fertilizer but where is the fertilizer,” he said, “When I go to different municipalities in the district, only 50 sacks of DAP and 50 sacks of urea are provided to each municipality.” Only 10 kg of fertilizer is provided to the farmers. “When he reached the wards of the district and local levels, very little quantity of fertilizer was provided to the farmers,” he said.
