Sharada Basnet, 38, of Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-7 in Solukhumbu district was airlifted after her health condition deteriorated for the past three days.<\/p>\n
She has been airlifted to Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Thapathali and is receiving treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors. <\/p>\n
Similarly, a youth who was undergoing treatment at Salle Hospital after he developed a serious health condition after a suicide attempt was airlifted on the recommendation of the doctor to provide additional treatment and necessary intensive care services.<\/p>\n
He has been taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for further treatment. <\/p>\n
The Ministry has been operating the air rescue service through the National Women Empowerment Project with the objective of providing access to specialist health services to pregnant women, new mothers and people with serious health problems who are at risk of death in remote and geographically remote areas. The Ministry has said that the air rescue service has been effectively carried out to ensure life-saving, safe transfer and access to specialist health services to the citizens in need of immediate treatment due to emergency health conditions.<\/p>\n
The program, which is being run with the objective of connecting the citizens of remote geography to the protection of the state and health services in times of crisis, has been making significant contribution during emergency times. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
