Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The second day of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 is being held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Friday. With the increasing attraction towards electric vehicles, new technology, attractive design and increasing attraction towards electric vehicles, the visitors have shown interest in the vehicles of different brands displayed in the expo. <\/p>\n

Among them, SPG Automobiles has showcased electric vehicles under the Omoda and Jco brands. According to the company’s assistant manager, Omoda E5 is an electric vehicle that has already been established in the Nepali market. <\/p>\n
The Omoda E5 is available in two variants. These include Omoda E5 Pro and Omoda E5 Long Range. According to him, the Omoda E5 Pro is equipped with a 50.7 kWh LFP battery and a 99 kWh motor. The company claims that it will give a range of 350 km on a single charge. <\/p>\n

The mono-tone variant is priced at Rs 51.59 lakh and the dual-tone variant is priced at Rs 51.99 lakh. The company is offering vehicles worth Rs 49,99,000 with special discounts for Nepal Mobility Expo. <\/p>\n
Under the special offer, customers will get one year road tax and insurance for free.<\/p>\n
Similarly, two chargers of 7 kW and 3 kW capacity will be provided. The company is also offering Mi smartphones to two customers on the occasion of a trip to China and every vehicle delivered. <\/p>\n
According to the company’s representative, Omoda E5 has been on sale in the Nepali market for the past two years.<\/p>\n
So far, more than 1,500 Omoda E5s are plying on the roads of Nepal. <\/p>\n
‘This is a well-liked car in the Nepali market. “We have good customer confidence as the vehicle has been running in the Nepali market for the last two years and has been tested,” said the company representative, “Now we have stock of vehicles and sales are also good.” The booking of Omoda E5 has been encouraging since the very first day of the Nepal Mobility Expo in Naima. He said that the number of bookings and visitors was good on the second day as well. <\/p>\n
The company plans to increase its investment in charging infrastructure along with the expansion of the use of electric vehicles. The company plans to expand charging stations in more than 100 locations within this year. <\/p>\n
The charging time will depend on the capacity of the charger used, the company said.<\/p>\n
The 80kW charger can be fully charged in 30 minutes and fully charged within an hour with a 60kW charger. <\/p>\n
The company has given priority to the fully electric i. e. pure EV over the hybrid in the vehicles it currently sells. Apart from the Omoda E5 Pro, the Omoda E5 Long Range is also available. The long-range variant has a 58.9 kWh LFP battery and offers a range of up to 430 km on a single charge. <\/p>\n
Along with Omoda, the company has also launched Jco J5 and Jco J6 under the Jco brand.<\/p>\n
The company claims that the J5 Pro offers a range of 350 km while the J5 Long Range offers a range of 461 km. <\/p>\n
According to the company, the actual range of the vehicle depends on road conditions, driving style, traffic and weather.<\/p>\n
According to the representatives, the range can be more than the range claimed by the company, especially on highways and flat roads. <\/p>\n
The company has been operating service centers at Kupandole and Sitapaila in the Kathmandu Valley.<\/p>\n
The company has 18 service centers in major cities outside the valley. According to the company, Omoda E5, Jco J5 and Jco J6 will be available from these service centers. <\/p>\n
According to the company, the price of Omoda E5 Pro starts at Rs 51,<\/p>\n
