. Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Pradip Poudel and Spokesperson Devraj Chalise have said that the guardianship of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba would be significant in keeping the party united with the return of Vietnam. <\/p>\n
Talking to media persons after the meeting of the party’<\/p>\n
s central work execution committee, Chalise said that Deuba is not only the leader of the establishment or other factions but is a common leader of all in the party. <\/p>\n
He expressed happiness over the return of Deuba after recovering from abroad after a long treatment. Stating that the party highly evaluated the contribution of Deuba in building the glorious history of the party, Chalise expressed the belief that Deuba would play a guardian role in the days ahead. <\/p>\n
“He is a common leader of all, not within the establishment,” Chalise said, “His experience will give a guardian role to the party in the coming days.” “As the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress is approaching, it is natural to compete on the basis of different opinions, viewpoints and programmes,” Chalise said. Stressing that the competition should be held within the parameters of the party statute, he said there was no difference in the party on policy and ideological level. <\/p>\n
Stating that the debates and differences in the party would help draw a new conclusion, he said discipline and party unity should be given priority while putting different views.<\/p>\n
“Nobody loses in the party and no one wins,” he said, adding, “Our unity is the base of our strength.” “<\/p>\n
The party meeting was underway on the day of Deuba’s return home, so Chalise urged not to take the issue of not being present to welcome Deuba politically. He clarified that the meeting was going on due to technical reasons and the time was not relevant to postpone it. <\/p>\n
Chalise also said that he would meet Deuba and wish him a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n
He expressed the belief that Deuba would fulfill his duty as a senior leader to keep the party united. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradeep Poudel said that Deuba’s return home was a matter of happiness for the party.<\/p>\n
Wishing for Deuba’s full recovery, he expressed the hope that his presence would help resolve the problems seen in the party and bring the party united. <\/p>\n
Expressing the hope that Deuba’s return home would play a positive role in unifying the party, Poudel expressed the belief that the former president would play a role in the entire party, not in favour of any group, as he is the guardian of the party.<\/p>\n
“We are confident that he will play a guardian role in organizing and unifying the party by not standing for anyone,” Poudel said \u0964 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
