NC does not want govt to fail: Bishwa Prakash Sharma <\/strong><\/p>\n
Kathmandu KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has said the party does not want the incumbent government to fail.\u00a0<\/p>\n Speaking before the NC Central Working Committee meeting on Friday, Sharma said that the opposition parties generally want to see the government failing, but the NC has not expressed such view. He recalled that the NC had obstructed the House of Representatives to endorse the policies and programs of the new government through the National Assembly as the failure of the new government’s policies and programs would lead to disappointment in the society.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n “We don’t want the government to fail,” Sharma said. Normally, when the voice of the opposition is heard, one expects the failure of the government. But the same NC party stood in the National Assembly on the same day and helped pass the policies and programs of the government at a time when the same party was obstructing the passage of the government’s policies and programs by standing in the House of Representatives. Claiming that the Nepali Congress was moving ahead in a different way than in the past, Sharma said the party leaders and cadres should internalize it. Referring to the Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress, he said that all should stand together with the new campaign forwarded by the party center.\u00a0<\/p>\n He said, “The Congress is working in a different way than in the past. This reality needs to be taken into consideration by every friend of the national gathering that began today. Recalling that the Nepali Congress welcomed outgoing President Sher Bahadur Deuba on his return to Kathmandu, Sharma said that Deuba is expected to listen to all the leaders and cadres of the party.<\/p>\n He said that Deuba through his written statement had mentioned the issue of assimilating the change and advancing the youths and that it should be kept in the center in the upcoming conference as well.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n ‘We expected the outgoing president to say while speaking, ‘I have returned to the country after a long time, I want to listen to everyone.’ However, a written statement has been issued. I want to embrace the change and talk about taking the youth forward.
