Kathmandu. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has bid farewell to the Nepali national cricket team for the ACC Men’s Premier Cup to be held in Malaysia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Nepali team led by Sandeep Lamichhane will leave for India on Friday.<\/p>\n
The team will prepare for 10 days in India. The team will leave for Malaysia from India. <\/p>\n
Skipper Sandeep Lamichhane said his team will leave for Malaysia with the aim of winning the ACC Premier Cup.<\/p>\n
He said that the 10-day preparation in India will be important to identify the shortcomings of the recent game and improve it. <\/p>\n
‘We will go to Malaysia with motivation. But before that, it was a good time to reflect on your journey. After returning from the Netherlands, we have a camp in Bangalore to identify where we went wrong and work on it,” he said. <\/p>\n
He said that the training in India will give him an opportunity to train in the same conditions as in Malaysia.<\/p>\n
“Of course, we will go there for these 10 days and it will be the same conditions as in Malaysia. The goal is to correct our mistakes and win the ACC Premier Cup in the next tournament. We will try our best to bring the trophy home,” he said. <\/p>\n
Similarly, CAN secretary and former national cricketer Paras Khadka said that although questions have been raised regarding the change in the new squad and captaincy of the national team, the role of all the players is equally important as the cricket team is a game. He informed that Sandeep Lamichhane has been given the responsibility to lead the Nepali men’s ODI team.<\/p>\n
‘You may have many questions about the recently announced squad of the Nepal cricket team.\u00a0On behalf of the Cricket Association, we are first introducing or re-introducing Sandeep Lamichhane, who is going to lead our men’s ODI format,” Khadka said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Khadka said that Nepal should win the ACC Premier Cup and all sides should work together for it.<\/p>\n
According to him, although the Nepali national team achieved historic achievements in the last five-six years, it failed to perform as per the expectation in some of the games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He also said that CAN was committed to encourage and support the players to make Nepali cricket stronger.<\/p>\n
He said that the support and support of the National Sports Council, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of Nepal, sponsors and other stakeholders brought the Nepali cricket to this stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Khadka expressed his confidence that the Nepali team would perform well in the ACC Premier Cup and qualify for the Asia Cup.<\/p>\n

, CAN had announced a 14-member Nepali national cricket team under captaincy of Lamichhane. Nepal Cricket Association has appointed leg-spinner Lamichhane as the captain of the men’s one-day Nepali team.\u00a0<\/p>\n
