The ‘Flood Victims Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation Assistance Committee’ formed by the CPN (UML) has been mobilized from today for saving the lives of the people affected by the Bhotekoshi disaster, collecting and distributing relief materials immediately, mobilizing financial and humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation. <\/p>\n
The CPN (<\/p>\n
has formed a committee under the coordination of party secretary and Bagmati Province in-charge Mahesh Basnet and distributed the work in order to coordinate the members of the committee in the districts. <\/p>\n
A team led by Rup Narayan Shrestha, member of the Central Advisory Council, who has been appointed as the Nuwakot District Coordinator, has left for Nuwakot with food items to provide free food to the victims. Similarly, another team led by GEFONT Chairman Binod Shrestha, who has been appointed as coordinator of Rasuwa district, is leaving for Rasuwa tomorrow while a team led by Bagmati Province Committee Under-Secretary Ramesh Acharya is also preparing to leave for Rasuwa district. <\/p>\n
The committee’s work division has made provision for mobilizing the party’s people’s organizations, the party’s provincial and district committees in all the teams. <\/p>\n

s secretary and coordinator of the Flood Victims Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation Assistance Committee, Mahesh Basnet, bid farewell to the team deployed in Nuwakot from the party’s central office, Chyasal, Lalitpur today. He said that the distribution of relief materials would be done in coordination with the province, local level, local administration and the victims. The team will set up food stations to feed the flood-affected areas. <\/p>\n
The party has decided to provide Rs 12 million to expedite the rescue, relief and long-term rehabilitation of the people affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers. National Youth Association, All Nepal National Free Students’ Union, Youth Volunteer Force, GEFONT and local party committees have been mobilized in the flood-affected districts and areas since August 24 for rescue and relief distribution. <\/p>\n
