Kathmandu. The government has appointed registrars in 6 universities including Tribhuvan University (TU). Prime Minister and Chancellor of the University, Balendra Shah, appointed the Rector and Registrar on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor of the concerned university. <\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Anjana Maharjan Singh has been appointed as the Rector of Tribhuvan University. Prof. Anjana Maharjan Singh and Prof. Ravindra Shiwakoti has been appointed as the Registrar. Shiwakoti is a professor in the Faculty of Education at Tribhuvan University while Singh is a professor in the Faculty of Science. Similarly, Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa is the Registrar of Purbanchal University. Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa is the Registrar of Pokhara University. Nirmala Jammarkattel is the Registrar of Pokhara University and Prof. Dr.<\/p>\n

appointed rectors and registrars took oath of office and secrecy at a function held at the Ministry of Education and Sports today. <\/p>\n
At the swearing-in ceremony, Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel directed the newly appointed officials to work with teamwork and effective coordination for the improvement and overall development of the university. He stressed the need for strong cooperation among the vice-chancellor, registrar and university officials for the improvement of higher education. Minister Pokharel also stressed the need for all to work responsibly to develop the University into an excellent and research-based institution, pledging that the Ministry would facilitate for the same. <\/p>\n
