Kathmandu. Sunil Singh, coordinator of the National Genji Citizen Campaign, said that the campaign has collected and distributed relief materials to the people affected by floods and landslides in Rasuwa. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a press conference organised by the National Genji-Citizen Campaign, Singh paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the natural disaster and paid respect to the security personnel deployed in the rescue and relief operations. He claimed that after September 7 and 24, the campaign has been continuously warning against the wrong steps of the government, attitude and the distortions and wrong tendencies seen in the country. Singh said members of the campaign were protesting against the campaign, saying that misinformation is being spread on social media by accusing it of being “antithetical” and “mobilized”. <\/p>\n
He said that the members of the campaign reached the affected areas and made an on-site inspection before the necessary work was done by the state for the flood victims in Rasuwa. According to him, the campaign had collected relief materials in Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Timure and provided relief materials by hiring vehicles from its own resources. <\/p>\n
Stating that the priority of the campaign is to provide assistance to the victims during the time of disaster, Singh pledged to continue in relief and rescue works. <\/p>\n
