Kathmandu. Senior journalist and litterateur Dharmendra Jha (Dharmendra Vihwal) has joined the news agency ‘Nepal News Bank’. He has joined the agency as the chief editorial advisor. <\/p>\n
Jha has been continuously contributing to literature, journalism, editing and socio-cultural awareness building for the past 4 decades. Nepal News Bank, which operates according to international practices and structures, currently has more than 200 media affiliates. News Bank currently provides news, video, audio, photo feature, current affairs articles and investigative news.<\/p>\n
The bank also provides international news content through international news agencies like ANI and CCTVPLus. <\/p>\n
Jha, who has taken the only news agency of Nepal to a new height during his tenure, expects Nepal News Bank to guide to operate the bank more effectively as per the international practices and structure. Jha, who was also the first advisor to the International Federation of Nepali Journalists (IFJ), has been playing a leading role in making the media a pillar of democracy and inclusion. Jha, who has made a special contribution to the promotion of Maithili language and literature, is also a skilled trainer of mass communication and journalism and a dialogue facilitator. Jha, who has made a special identity as a Right to Information campaigner, has been strongly raising the issues of press freedom and freedom of expression, the rights of working journalists, and Madhes and inclusion. Jha has been making a great contribution through the media to bridge the gap between the mainstream journalism of Kathmandu and the reality of Madhes. Jha, who holds a master’s degree in media technology, political science and Maithili, has published more than 2 dozen books on Maithili, Nepali literature, journalism and other subjects. Jha, who started his journalism career in 2043 BS from Janakpur, has served as editorial manager of Himalaya Times, Annapurna Post, Himalaya Television, Koshi Online, Naya Paila Online and Bikash Times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
