. Nepali Congress lawmaker Bharat Bahadur Khadka has demanded the government to immediately search and rescue the missing people citing the huge loss of life and property due to the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi river. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, lawmaker Khadka expressed heartfelt tribute to the domestic and foreign nationals who lost their lives in the floods and demanded the government to search for the missing people at the earliest. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. <\/p>\n
Khadka said that Deepak Bohara and Kirti Bista of his home district Doti are also in unknown condition so far. He strongly demanded the government to search for them immediately. <\/p>\n
He said that the first duty of the government is to protect the lives of the citizens. He said that the government should not hesitate to seek necessary support from friendly countries and partner organizations for the rescue of the citizens. <\/p>\n
“The first duty of the government is to save the citizens and it should not hesitate to take help from any friendly country or partner organizations to save the citizens,” he said. Khadka stressed on the need to involve all three levels of government to make rescue and relief effective during disasters.
