Kathmandu. Satpalji Maharaj, the pioneer of human religion and the Minister of Tourism of the Government of Uttarakhand, India, has provided financial assistance of 10 lakh Nepali rupees for the rescue and relief of the Nepalese people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods. <\/p>\n
Expressing deep sorrow over the floods in Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa district on August 23, he pledged to stand in favour of Nepal and Nepali people through social media. He also made it clear that the entire Uttarakhand and the Government of India were ready to provide all necessary assistance to Nepal in this hour of grief and appealed to all to remain calm and express solidarity with the victims. Earlier, a condolence meeting was held in the memory of the victims of the floods in the special presence of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Satpalji Maharaj visited the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi on Friday. He met with Charge d’ Affaires at the Embassy of Nepal, Dr Surendra Thapa and handed over an amount of Rs 1 million to be deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
