Inspecting Nuwakot and Rasuwa among other districts on Friday, he inquired about the status of rescue, search, dead body management, incident report and relief distribution among other works carried out by police in flood-affected areas. During the monitoring, IGP Karki held discussions with the Chief District Officers and representatives of security agencies to carry out rescue, search, relief distribution and overall disaster management in the affected areas in an effective and systematic and transparent manner. During the inspection, IGP Karki directed the police personnel present at the time of disaster to work with high morale in the service of the nation and citizens. He stressed on the need to make the best use of one’s knowledge, skills, wisdom and capacity to carry out rescue and search operations without leaving any stone unturned. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Karki stressed the need to be more sensitive towards the incidents of abuse and violence against women, children and senior citizens in flood-affected areas. Stating that the police personnel should be more alert and mobilize the police in an effective manner to control the criminal activities that may take place at the time of the disaster, he asked the police personnel present to work especially actively to carry out the relief distribution in a transparent manner by coordinating with the local levels. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Karki along with Nepal Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General of Police Abi Narayan Kafle and senior police officers also inspected the flood-hit districts. <\/p>\n
