Kathmandu. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said the government was fully committed to the constitution. Speaking at the meeting of the Inter-Governmental Financial Council and thematic committee here today, he clarified that it was the government’s policy to implement the constitution honestly.
He said although there was dissatisfaction over some provisions of the constitution, they could be amended on the basis of the articles mentioned in the constitution. “The government is fully loyal to the constitution. It is our responsibility to implement the constitution honestly. The party considers whether to improve the articles written in the constitution or the things that are not satisfactory. ’
He said that the government has set a target to raise around Rs 14.80 trillion in the current fiscal year. He, however, said that it was challenging to achieve the target due to internal and external factors.
“The nexus between political interest groups has held the entire country hostage. That’s why the government is taking action. But we want the same rules to apply to everyone. We are trying to break the practice of a few businessmen and politicians holding the entire country hostage and holding the hopes of the younger generation hostage. ’
