Kathmandu. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Thursday took three important decisions.
The meeting also decided to form a talks team under the leadership of Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance to finalize the agreement on USD 115 million concessional loan assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the integrated water and sewerage management sector. The team will finalize the loan assistance agreement and other related documents.
Similarly, as per the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal on September 7, 2018, it was decided to hand over the land of the National Police Training Academy at Maharajgunj to the President. Now, the decision has been amended and it has been decided to use the land of the National Police Training Academy as before.
The government has also decided to form a study taskforce under the coordination of Information and Communications Technology Advisor to study the software and information technology being used in the government bodies.
According to the government, these decisions have been taken with the aim of administrative reforms, public service management and making the information technology system more effective.
