Kathmandu. Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Ramji Yadav has said that the government has started the process of digitization to control fraud from foreign employment. According to him, out of 40,000 cases registered at the Department of Foreign Employment within 25 days since he became the minister, 13,000 were made to be digitized.
Of them, eight thousand cases have been digitized, according to Minister Yadav.
Minister Yadav said this in a meeting of the Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee of the House of Representatives today. According to him, 13,000 cases are under process. For this, the ministry has demanded 10 investigation officers. “We have digitized eight thousand cases,” he said. Out of the twenty-seven thousand cases, some cases are burnt in the Genji movement. ‘
On the occasion, Minister Yadav said that the ministry has already taken information about the status of the airport by asking 17 questions about the problems faced by 434 people at the arrival and departure points of the airport.
Among them, 38 per cent had gone for foreign employment with personal work permit, he said.
He further informed that the Ministry is making arrangements to issue labour permits at all local levels.
He said that this system will be implemented within the coming week. Similarly, the Ministry has rescued 178 people in the last 25 days based on complaints received from Hello Sarkar and WhatsApp. “We have taken action against nine fraudsters in the last 25 days,” he said. ‘
In the meeting, Committee Chair Rahbar Ansari said that the problem of foreign employment could not be reduced to zero today and stressed the need for legal reform to correct it.

Prasad Panta, Prakash Singh Karki, Prakash Pathak, Ranju Darshana, Tek Bahadur Shakya, Prabha Karki, among others put forth their suggestions in the meeting to systematize foreign employment, create an environment for workers to work in a dignified manner within the country and bring a policy plan to maintain balance between workers and entrepreneurs.
