15 including Sudan Kirati join Labour Culture Party

Kathmandu. Former Maoist leader Sudan Kirati is joining the Harka Sampang-led Labour Culture Party. Kirati is entering the labor culture today. Kirati will be appointed as a senior leader of the Labour and Culture Party.

According to party spokesperson Satya Ghale Gurung, 15 people including Kirati are joining the Labour and Culture Party. He said that the unification program is going to be held at 3:00 pm today at the Hardy Hotel in Bagbazaar.

Kirati is a former tourism minister. After the formation of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) by unification of Prachanda, Madhav Kumar Nepal and other leaders, he joined the Progressive Democratic Party (PRALOPA).

Sudan Kirati was one of the members of the five-member Chairmen’s Council at the initiative initiated by former deputy general secretary of the Maoist Centre, Janardan Sharma. He had announced his decision to quit the party after the March 21 election.
