Kathmandu. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Friday decided to relieve 15 honorary envoys from their posts. The government decided to relieve 15 honorary consular generals and consular generals based abroad on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel.
The meeting also decided to request the President to address the meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for May 10 at 4 pm.
These are the decisions of the Cabinet meeting:
1. Request the President to address a joint sitting of both the Houses of the Federal Parliament on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 4:00 pm and to summon the Honorable Members of the Federal Parliament for the same.
2. To relieve 15 Nepalese honorary consular general and consular abroad.
3. Protocol No. 2014 of the International Labour Organization’s Binding Labour Convention, 1930. 29 (P029 Protocol of 2014 to the Forced Labour Convention, 1930) to be submitted to the Federal Parliament for ratification.
4. The Convention on the Inspection of Labor of the International Labour Organization, 1947 No. 81 (C081 Labour Inspection Convention, 1947) to be submitted to the Federal Parliament for ratification.
