Kathmandu. The government is to set up an integrated savings protection fund to return the money deposited by the savers in the problematic cooperatives. Unveiling the policies and programmes of the government at a joint meeting of the parliament on Monday, President Ram Chandra Poudel said that the government would set up an integrated savers’ security fund to return the money deposited in the problematic cooperatives and return the money to the savers through loan recovery.

He said, “The money of the savers will be returned through loan recovery by establishing an integrated saver protection fund to return the money of the savers who have deposited money in the problematic cooperatives.” ’

He also pledged to formalize a cashless, transparent and revenue leakage-free economy by linking all financial transactions on a digital platform. According to him, the government is going to classify public corporations.
