Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has presented a five-point proposal for party unification. Stating that there was growing dispute and dissatisfaction in the party, Dr Koirala proposed five proposals as a meeting point for the party unification.
Dr Koirala has included in the first point a proposal not to mandate the active membership period for the 15th General Convention. He also proposed to hold the 15th general convention on the basis of the active membership renewed and distributed after the 14th general convention.
Dr Koirala has proposed to merge the central working committee of the 14th general convention and the central working committee of the special general convention into one, form the election committee, active investigation committee, discipline committee, legislation committee and other committees only through mutual consensus.
