PM Modi vows to take ties with Nepal to new heights

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, who is on a two-day visit to India, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter’s residence in New Delhi today. After the meeting, Prime Minister Modi shared a photo of Lamichhane with Lamichhane through his Facebook post and expressed his commitment to take Nepal-India relations to a new height.

Modi has also expressed happiness for meeting Lamichhane in his status and has welcomed his desire to work closely together for shared prosperity and bright future. “Nepal is India’s primary partner under India’s Neighbourhood First Policy,” he said. Prime Minister Modi said India was committed to further strengthen special and multi-dimensional relations with Nepal and hoped that it would take bilateral relations to a new height in collaboration with the new government.

KATHMANDU: A delegation led by Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RSS) President Lamichhane has been holding meetings with the Indian political leadership in different phases. The meeting with Modi is being seen as an opportunity to further strengthen Nepal-India relations and political dialogue between the two countries. It has been analysed that Modi’s message has indicated that Nepal is at the top priority of India’s foreign policy. He also expressed his confidence that cooperation would be expanded to further strengthen the historical, cultural, economic and people-to-people relations between the two countries.
