Kathmandu. Labour and Culture Party lawmaker Harka Sampang has drawn the attention of the government on the issue of Nepal-India border. Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that the Prime Minister has not been present in the parliament even after 11 days of displaying placards in protest against the Prime Minister’s controversial remarks on the border.
“It has been 11 days since the Prime Minister protested with placards after his controversial statement on the border. Even on the 11th day, there was no sign of him coming to Parliament. ’
Raising the question of who is the incumbent Defence Minister, he demanded that the Defence Minister be present in the Parliament through the Speaker. He said that there have been videos of Indian officials reprimanding Nepali nationals in Susta area and local people struggling to protect their land.
“I want to ask the question, who is the current Defence Minister of the Government of Nepal? The Defense Minister should be called by the Speaker. I want to ask him a question, the Indian side SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) has come to Susta and reprimanded the Nepali brothers and Nepali brothers fighting for their land have been made public. ’
He pointed out the need for the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Defence to pay serious attention to the incident. He demanded that the Defence Minister should be summoned to answer the border issue when the Prime Minister is not present in Parliament.
“The Nepal government and the Defence Minister should pay attention to this,” he said. If the prime minister does not come to the parliament, if there is a defense minister, he should be found. ’
Lawmaker Sampang said that the government should take necessary steps for the protection of Nepali land by making its clear view on the situation seen in the Susta area.
