Kathmandu. Lawmaker and spokesperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party Manish Jha said that the closed session could be extended by a day. Jha said that there were managerial and technical challenges in the general convention after the closed session of the first general convention of the RSP started a little late on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Jha admitted that the closed session was delayed after the ongoing general convention in Bharatpur of Chitwan was delayed and indicated that the general convention could be extended by a day due to the management.
According to him, the closed session started late due to lack of technical preparations like delegate registration, roll management and distribution of kits. He said that the closed session has been convened from today itself after completing all the processes.
Jha said, “The management has become challenging as the number of representatives is more than expected. With the addition of more than five hundred representatives, it has taken time to update the name list, process the claim and opposition process and the management of materials. ’
He also said that the problem has also surfaced due to the lack of uniform organization in all the provinces. He admitted that there was a discrepancy in the list of representatives due to the delay in the expansion of the organization, especially in some provinces.
He said that the party has made provisions for 33 per cent reservation, authority to add 200 representatives to the party president and additional 100 to 150 representatives from the adjustment committee to ensure inclusive representation.
He said, “We are learning, although some things are different from the expectation, efforts are being made to accommodate everyone.” ’
He said that the delegates who participated in the general convention had come here after a long time, expense and effort, and their dissatisfaction was natural. He also made it clear that the program could be delayed due to the management.
