Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has filed his candidacy for the post of central member (open category) of Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party). Chitwan: Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) leader and Education Minister Pokharel has filed his candidacy for the post of central member under the open category.
Former captain of the Nepali National Cricket Team, Gyanendra Pokharel, proposed his candidacy for the post of central member while 21 other representatives of the party seconded it. On the occasion, Minister Pokharel pledged to play a role in further strengthening the party’s principles, values and campaign as the central member of the party.
“I have filed my candidacy for the post of central member of the RSP. I expect your trust and support with the commitment of sincerely to further strengthen the party’s principles, values and campaign.
Pokharel, who has served as the Education and Sports Minister in the Balen Shah-led government, was elected as a lawmaker from Kathmandu constituency-5 on the RSP ticket.
