Kathmandu. A total of 384 candidates have filed their candidacies for the post of central committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party. The Election Commission (EC) has published its preliminary list of 384 candidates for the post of 99 central committee members. Of them, 80 are women.

According to the agenda, claims and complaints are now sought on the preliminary list. The final list of candidates will be published after investigation. Only then will the election be held to elect the central members.

Meanwhile, Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party)’s central member (open category) candidate Ganesh Karki has said that the party’s internal election was only a technical process and urged the party to take the results lightly.

Making his views public through social media, Karki said that 384 candidates including him are in the fray for the post of central member under the open category. Of those, 99 will be elected and 285 will leave, he said.

Karki expressed the view that although the election result may make a difference personally, it will not have much impact in terms of the party’s interest. “Whether elected or not, we should walk together on the issue of bearing the responsibility of the country, that too shoulder to shoulder,” he wrote.

Urging to take the election only as a technical issue, he expressed the hope that negative feelings should not be created in anyone’s mind due to the result.

Extending best wishes to all the candidates contesting the elections, Karki stressed the need to move ahead with unity, collaboration and positive spirit within the party.
