Three arrested for black marketing in subsidized fertilizer in Sarlahi
Sarlahi. Police in Sarlahi have arrested three persons on the charge of selling subsidized fertiliser in the black market.
According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the subsidized DAP fertilizer was being sold at a higher price from Krishna General Store Grocery Shop located in Malangawa Municipality-10. Police have arrested Abhinay Ray, 23, and Abhinandan Ray, 20, of Malangawa Municipality-7.
They said that they were selling DAP fertilizer at the rate of Rs 3,500 per kg without permission and police immediately checked their shop and recovered four sacks of 50 kg each written DAP.
According to the police, the fertiliser was purchased from the shop of Rahul Gupta, 28, of Malangawa Municipality-3 at the rate of Rs 3,200 per kg and sold at Rs 3,
500. Police then searched Gupta’s shop and confiscated seven sacks of DAP fertilizer.
According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the police have arrested the three persons along with the seized goods and started investigation into the black marketeering.
The District Administration Office, Sarlahi has remanded them in custody for seven days for further investigation, police said.
