Sirha. A condolence assembly was held at the meeting hall of the Golbazaar-based Chamber of Commerce and Industry in memory of Ganesh Yadav, 15, who was killed in the incident at Dewangunj of Sunsari and then Golbazaar of Siraha.

Some of the participants had objected to the political statement made by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Madhes Province President and lawmaker Tapeshwar Yadav.

The condolence program should not be made a place for political speeches.

According to eyewitnesses, Yadav had unnecessarily raised questions against the government after the incidents in Sunsari and Siraha and described it as a well-planned conspiracy.

Some people in attendance then urged people not to make controversial political comments as the purpose of the program is to pay tribute to the deceased and maintain social harmony.

The program was disrupted as the controversy escalated. After this, Yadav left the venue under police protection. Speaking briefly to reporters, he said the opposition parties had unnecessarily raised the issue.

Meanwhile, former lawmaker Jagat Prasad Yadav of Madhes Province said that although the condolence assembly was organized to maintain social harmony and brotherhood, political expressions have spoiled the atmosphere of the program. According to the organizers, after the condolence meeting, a mass goodwill rally was taken out in Golbazaar and the shops in the market area were set to operate.

However, after the controversy erupted in the program, the program was affected and there is confusion about the next decision ।
