Dadeldhura. A total of 12 families of Parshuram Municipality-12 in Dadeldhura district have obtained land ownership certificates after 38 years of the landless squatters problem resolution commission.
Former Jogbudha VDC Ward No. Although the Squatters Problem Resolution Commission had prepared the map in 1990, the locals could not get the land ownership certificate for a long time as the process could not move forward after that.
After this, on January 12, 1998, the Squatters’ Problem Resolution Commission again initiated the process but the certificates could not be distributed. Locals of Khajurani and Tulabhadi villages had been waiting for land ownership certificates for a long time as the work started by the previous commissions remained incomplete.
The process has been forwarded by giving continuity to the incomplete works done in the past as per the working procedure of the current committee and the prevailing rules. In this connection, the revenue was collected as per the rules and the land was distributed to 12 families by completing the process of land that had been mapped by the Commission in the past.
Locals who could not get legal proof of ownership despite having a map 38 years ago have obtained the land ownership certificate after a long time.
