In 24 hours, the traffic police took action against 1,139 people
.In the last 24 hours, the traffic police have taken action against the drivers of 1,13,900 vehicles.
Until Sunday morning, 79 drivers were taken action for drunken driving, 98 through CCTV and 76 for using red beacons in course of checking conducted by the Traffic Police in different parts of Kathmandu Valley till Sunday morning.
Similarly, 184 drivers were penalized for speeding, 24 for not wearing horns, 19 for lane crossing, 23 for unruly conditions, 23 for one-way traffic and 613 for others, according to the Traffic Police.
