London. Deputy leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) parliamentary party Ganesh Parajuli has left for Dublin to attend the 17th Europe Regional Conference of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).
Parajuli has been invited as the chief guest for the two-day conference to be held at the Radisson Hotel in Dublin from Monday.
He was welcomed by NRNA President Dr Hemraj Sharma and other office-bearers when he reached Dublin on Sunday evening.
The conference will be attended by NRNA International Coordination Council (ICC) and National Coordination Council (NCC) office-bearers, entrepreneurs, professionals, experts, women and youth leaders, second-generation Non-Resident Nepalis and community representatives from Europe and other parts of the world. The two-day conference will feature 10 key thematic sessions.
This year’s conference has given priority to the non-resident Nepali citizenship and rights, investment in Nepal, participation of women, youths and the second generation.
Women-focused sessions will discuss entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, safe migration, health and legal access.
Similarly, sessions on youth and second generation will focus on leadership development, information technology, entrepreneurship, identity, language and culture, and long-term relations with Nepal.
So far, more than 200 participants from 35 countries have been confirmed and the total participation is expected to reach around 250. Established in 2003, NRNA has been working to protect the rights of Nepalis and communities of Nepalese origin around the world, strengthen their relations with Nepal and utilize the knowledge, skills, capital and experience gained abroad for the development of Nepal.
Currently, its network now spans 92 countries with more than 100,000 members.
