7 road sections obstructed due to incessant rainfall

Kathmandu Vehicular movement has been disrupted on 7 roads of various districts of the country due to rainfall, landslide and river erosion.

According to the police, all vehicular movement has been banned from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am on the Kavre-Sindhuli BP Highway in view of the possible floods.

Traffic will be allowed from 4 am to 6 pm.

Similarly, all types of vehicular movement has been banned on the Kanti Highway in Makwanpur from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am due to rainfall. Vehicular movement along the Mechi Highway at Rajduwali of Ilam Municipality-9 has been completely disrupted due to incessant rainfall.

There is an alternative road at the site.

Vehicular movement has been obstructed due to a landslide at Bhotekoshi rural municipality-4, Charkilo along the Araniko Highway in Sindhupalchowk district.

Vehicular movement has come to a complete halt after landslides occurred at Bhotekoshi-2, Kodari and a road collapsed at Liping.

The Pasang Lhamu road section has come to a complete halt after the Trishuli river eroded the road at Khalte of Uttargaya rural municipality-5 in Rasuwa district. Meanwhile, landslides that occurred at Aathbiskot municipality-6 along the Bheri corridor in Rukum (West) have obstructed the Jajarkot-Dolpa road section. The Kalikot-Humla road section has been completely obstructed after a landslide occurred at Bhukakhola of Jagannath rural municipality-5 along the Karnali Corridor in Bajura. Passengers and drivers have been urged to take precaution as there is still a risk of landslide and flood on the road due to rainfall.
