Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of International Youth Day on Wednesday, Lamichhane said that the voices of the citizens are the same even after four months of coming to the leadership of the government.

Lamichhane urged the young lawmakers and ministers to work seriously and not only take the responsibility as an opportunity.
He warned that if the present generation fails to fulfill the responsibility, the youths of the next generation may not get the same opportunity.
He said, how can it be done when the same voice is heard that nothing has happened in four months? If we make a habit of looking for results today tomorrow, we will have no choice but to look for alternatives. Finding an alternative is not an option, being an alternative is an option. I want to tell the young parliamentarians and ministers that this is not the time to enjoy the responsibility that you have received. It’s time to think responsibly. If it goes wrong this time, then the youth of the next generation will not get the same opportunities as us. “
He admitted that in the past there was a lack of youth leadership in politics and questioned the experienced generation on the basis of age. He said that due to age, the veteran generation could not be given enough respect.
“We’ve always messed with politics. I did too. There was no youth leadership from one place, we probably humiliated and humiliated the older people by saying that the country should be run by the youth. Standing here today, I realize that we have not been able to give respect to the experienced generation because of age,” he said.
He said that although it was easy to criticize only the older generation in the past for running the country, the political situation has changed now.
According to him, having a large number of youth lawmakers in the House of Representatives is a historic political development.
Lamichhane said that the election results and the number of youths in the House of Representatives should be converted into achievements, saying that the dream of many years would not be fulfilled only by the youth leadership.
