55,000 visitors in two days at Naima Expo, bookings encouraging

Kathmandu. More than 55,000 visitors visited the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in two days at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.

More than

26,000 visitors visited the expo organized by Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) on Tuesday. More than 29,000 visitors visited the fair on Tuesday.

The expo will showcase cars, motorcycles and electric vehicles of various brands.

Observers have been particularly interested in the battery capacity, motor, range and after-sales services of electric vehicles.

The companies participating in the expo have provided discounts on various vehicles, one year insurance, one year vehicle tax, free servicing and loans at concessional interest rates.

According to the company’s representatives, the expo is also being booked for vehicles.

At the expo, 48 new models were launched by different brands on Tuesday, while four new models were launched on Wednesday. The ‘

Mobility: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ was discussed in the ‘Learning Session’ held on Wednesday. Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of Infrastructure Development Committee Ashish Gajurel, Chief of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Senior Superintendent of Police Suresh Prasad Kafle, President of Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Saroj Sitaula, expert advisor of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and traffic engineer Anukul Nidhi and former president of NADA Automobile Association Dhruba Bahadur Thapa were present in the program. Journalist Tikaram Yatri facilitated the program.

The first day of the expo was held on the theme ‘Investment and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Mobilizing – Fuel for Economic Growth’.

During the expo, ‘Naima Mobility Dialogue’ will be held with the participation of national and foreign experts.

The expo, which aims to promote sustainable, green and technology-friendly transportation system in Nepal, will run till August 14. The first brands entering Nepal as well as electric cars, e-scooters and electric commercial vehicles from various companies will be on display at the expo.

Banks and financial institutions and insurance companies have also provided various loans and financial facilities for the purchase of vehicles.

150,000 visitors are expected during the expo.
