In 24 hours, the traffic police took action against 1,247 people
.In the last 24 hours, the traffic police have taken action against the drivers of 1,24,700 vehicles.
As of Thursday morning, 56 drivers were taken action for drunken driving, 78 for driving under the influence of CCTV, and 51 for using red beacons during security checks conducted by the Traffic Police in different parts of Kathmandu Valley till Thursday morning.
Similarly, 168 drivers were penalized for speeding, 40 for not wearing horn, 41 for lane crossing, 42 for not being in good condition, 17 for one-way traffic and 754 for others, according to the Traffic Police.
