The arrears of the industry which have not been raised for 40 years are being recovered
Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari Yadav has started clearing the dues of industries that have not been able to clear their dues for the past 40 years. Millions of rupees have been recovered after the Ministry of Industry gave priority to the recovery of rent and other arrears that have been pending from various industries for a long time.
Industry Minister Gauri Kumari Yadav has directed the industries and institutions that have not paid dues to the state for years.
The rent arrears of the industries that have not been collected for the last 40 years are now being recovered.
During this period, Rs 4,11,93,689,75 has been recovered from Continental.
With this, a total of Rs 51,26,30,799.27 has been recovered so far.
Along with the recovery of dues, works have also been forwarded to ease the operation of the industry which has been closed for a long time. The power lines of one more industry have been re-installed. However, power lines of 816 industries have been disconnected due to non-payment of dues.
The campaign to clear the arrears of the state which has been in limbo for years after Minister Yadav’s directive has gained momentum, which has also had a positive impact on government revenue collection. The ministry has said that it will continue to recover dues from the remaining industries as well.
