. KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gauri Kumari Yadav, inaugurated the food outlet of Food Management and Trade Company Limited at Singha Durbar today.
Consumers can buy daily consumables at affordable prices from the outlet located between the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singha Durbar.
A total of 124 types of food and daily consumables have been kept for sale in the sales hall on the occasion of the anniversary of the Food Management and Trade Company Limited.
The sales desk has been established with the objective of reducing the abnormal increase in the price of food items in the market and the financial burden on the consumers.
The objective is to provide essential food items to consumers at easy and comparatively affordable prices through a government-owned company. Inaugurating the outlet, Minister Yadav stressed the need to work with priority to provide food items to the consumers in easy, quality and affordable price. It is expected that the employees, service recipients and nearby consumers will be able to purchase food items in an easy manner after the operation of such a sales desk at the center of Singha Durbar.
