Prachanda urges to expedite rescue of passengers stranded on Mid-Hill Highway due to landslide
Kathmandu.KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has drawn the attention of the bodies concerned towards the situation affecting normal life and passengers stranded due to landslides at different places along the Mid-Hill Highway including East Rukum.
Taking to social media on Thursday
, Prachanda urged the government to immediately rescue the people affected by the disaster, treat the injured and arrange relief and appropriate compensation to the victims’ families.
“I would like to draw the attention of the bodies concerned towards the disruption of the road due to landslides at different places along the Mid-Hill Highway including East Rukum affecting the lives of the passengers and affecting the normal life of the passengers,” he said. He expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property due to landslide at Kotalbara of Thawang rural municipality-5 in Rolpa.
He expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and paid heartfelt tributes to those who lost their lives in the disaster caused by incessant rains.
He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
