Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office is conducting a traffic awareness program in the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. As the third day of the NAIMA Expo 2026 has entered, the traffic police awareness stall has seen significant participation from the public.
According to Traffic Police Inspector Lokendra Bahadur Malla, the stall has been set up with an objective of observing new and different brands of two-wheelers and four-wheelers. He said, “There are many people who come to the expo to buy, observe and take interest in vehicles.
Our aim is not only to buy vehicles but also to make them aware of how to drive safely on the roads. Momentary carelessness can lead to loss of vehicles and millions of vehicles. Therefore, we have organized this stall to make people aware about traffic rules, speed control, not to drink and road signs and rules. “
Malla said that he invests millions to millions of rupees in the purchase of vehicles but the program has been focused to make the vehicle users responsible as a momentary carelessness on the road can cause huge loss of life and property.
Pamphlets and pamphlets have been distributed on traffic rules, road signs, road lines and under what conditions they can or should not cross.
Various equipment used by the traffic police has also been put on display.

The police have specially warned the people to follow the rule of ‘stop, watch and go’ while entering the main road from the branch road, control the speed, not to drive under the influence of alcohol and not to make U-turn and right-turn.

2,000 people visited the awareness stall on the first day of the expo and around 2,500 on the second day. On the third day, around 4,000 to 5,000 people visited the stalls and video content.
“As if the cinema hall is housefull, we saw a crowd of people coming to watch videos throughout the day,” Malla said, “Our aim is to make more and more people related to vehicles aware about traffic rules and road safety, and we feel that this objective is being fulfilled.” “
Traffic Police has hoped that if everyone follows the traffic rules from their side and motivates family and friends to follow the rules, it will contribute significantly to reducing the accidents ।
